Ideal takes pole position

Aug 2007

Ideal Boilers is challenging Lewis Hamilton wannabes to get behind the wheel and test their driving skills in the company’s latest promotion – the 'Ideal Esprit Grand Prix'.

Launched to celebrate the introduction of its brand new Ideal Esprit HE combination boiler, the Ideal Esprit Grand Prix is offering installers the chance to win the ultimate motorsport prize – a three day trip for two to the 2008 Monaco Grand Prix.

Visiting a number of heating exhibitions over the next months, the Ideal Esprit Grand Prix competition is quite simply – the installer who takes to the cockpit and clocks the fastest time around the F1 circuit on the virtual reality driving simulator will win the top prize.

Dave Simpson, marketing director at Ideal Boilers, said: The new Ideal Esprit HE combination boiler has been designed and developed in response to extensive research carried out with independent installers to find out what they want and need from a domestic boiler.

In recognition of installers being the driving force behind the new appliance, we wanted to give something back and offer them the chance to win a once in lifetime trip to experience the sights and sounds of the most famous Grand Prix in the world.

The Ideal Esprit Grand Prix race calendar will take in InstallerLive in Coventry (18-21 September), PHEX in Manchester (23-24 October), Interbuild at the NEC in Birmingham (28 October-1 November) and PHEX in Chelsea (21 November).

Participants will get one go each on the circuit, with the ten fastest laps for each event posted on www.espritgrandprix.com to enable installers to view the top lap times. Special 'on-the-spot' prizes are also up for grabs for those that break the existing fastest lap from the previous event or beat the real fastest lap produced by F1 driver Jenson Button.
